Aftermarket Wheels

I am deciding between 19" or 20" rims. My car has H&R springs. Those who have aftermarket rims, which size did you buy? Pics if its no trouble.

19" HRE P 40, better ride, option to reuse OEM tires. Car designed around 19's don't know if that makes a big difference or not.

Here is a pic of a single turbo 997 with 20"s, personally I feel 19's are perfect if you get one piece looking wheels, 3-pieces usually looks an inch smaller with it's lips and rivets. Pic taken this weekend at a local car meet by Ronnie (hope he doesn't mind, his pics looks so nice)

Thanks for the pic. I was thinking the same thing today about one piece because the lip makes the centers smaller in diameter. I agree. Might have to go 20"

You can't go wrong either way, 19"s are usually lighter and have more choices in tires. Here are more pics of my 997 with 20"s if you are interested https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...hotoshoot.html

What size tires are you running? I lowered my car and worried if the front will rub the wheel well if I turn into my driveway. It is an incline. Also, apparently Discount Tire said they won't install a 305/25 on the rim because it doesn't meet the load weight requirement of at least 1800lbs. 305/25/20 only have a load weight of 1610lbs.

245/30/20 (front) 325/25/20 (rear) on Michelin PS2, mine is lowered on H&R's, no rubbing at all. Not sure about the load weight issues, most people on this forum runs the same setup on 20"s.

First picture is 20's, second picture 19's. I'd say it really depends on where you live and how you plan to drive the car. If you have smooth roads and don't plan to track the car at all (or have spare wheels for that), then go with 20's...they just look better. If your area has bad roads or you want to track the car on these wheels, 19's definitely!

There are a ton of threads on this topic...do a search and you will be very busy!

I went with 20" and I couldn't be happier. The ride quality improved, I bought better rubber (PS2...mine came with Bridgestones) and it just looks right now (after a drop as well)

I would never go back to 19s personally.
