Carbon Fiber Goodness....again. ;)
6Speed,
Just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!! And also to thank you guys for the support. We really have a passion for what we do here, and being able to share it makes it worth while! Be careful with all those fireworks! hehe
Now, what would one of my posts be if there wasn't some cool trick new piece of hardware in there too! Say hello to the first actual production parts to come from our new Stratasys FDM machine (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...re-carbon.html). These are our Werks1 Carbon Fiber Intake Manifolds in their finished form, complete with custom Werks1 intake plenum and 82mm throttle body. Notice that we eliminated the standard silicon or plastic hoses and replaced them with Wiggins clamps to insure a constant seal. Also take a look at the increase in flow, as tested by Wilson Manifolds. Those results are seriously impressive! This set will be making it's way onto our 3.8L GT2 project which is about to begin the re-assembly process.]
One more thing worth mentioning. While designing the flanges for these manifolds, we discovered that there is NO aftermarket fuel injector that seats into the factory manifold at the same distance as the stock injectors. Because of this, the injector spray pattern will always be slightly altered from the optimal pattern. Our flanges were specifically designed to return larger injectors to the proper distance, restoring the optimal factory fuel spray pattern. Just one of those little details we like to address. Enjoy the pictures.

it would seem counterintuitive but every report I have read indicates that tuners trying to mod the Gt2 have reverted to the std turbo intake manifold. The expansion intake system of the GT2 sacrifices absolute flow for the reported cooling effect on the intake charge, which produces a drop in pressure as a necessary byproduct.
Tom, the manifold looks incredible, great work. Just curious though, do you anticipate this being mainly for your built motor customers looking to extract maximum power, or would it also be of some benefit to the normal 68mm turbo kit, since the 68mm kit is already limited to less than capacity by the rods?
turbo intake flows much better than gt2 intake....
