Went to the dyno today...
Hi guys,
My 997 was dynoed today; the dyno is a Superflow Windyn 4x4 fully synchronised and breaked.
The car did 660hp Din (I insist) at 6400rpm and 900Nm at 4300rpm.
I'm quite satisfied but I don't understand why my numbers are so weak in comparison with those I read here!
For memory: best 100-200: 5.8'
best 100-300: 21.9' (pure pumpgas)

Is the 660, wheel horse power or calculated crank horsepower? if it is calculated crank hp, what drivetrain loss % did they use?
Also, be aware that DIN power ratings are generally lower than SAE ratings.

660 is calculated DINcrank horse power, I don't know the losses, going to ask the guy about them.
My mods are: upgaded vtgs, FVD exhaust with headers, BMC, 997.2 Ics, Denso's, Sachs LFW, and Proto tune. (mid boost: 1.45 from 3500 to 4500 and slowly reduces to 1.25 until redline)
The car kills stock Enzo, ZR1, LP670, etc...
I'm now quite happy with it, the need is to hold those perfs even >15°C AT.

Well thats very great !
To be honest i do not belive dyno numbers , i trust the vbox and street performance , and as you said that your time is 5.8sec which us very very great time .. Also your races against the enzo and other cars are awesome !
Trust me you have very great car , the only mod i advise you to go is meth kit !

It's just numbers and some of them are bigger in different continents. What really counts is performance.

With the turbos im considering 997.2 intercoolers and FVD exhaust and headers with the other parts that I have installed in my car. I primarily use my car on the track.

Pascal your accel times on pump gas are outstanding. I would not be concerned of the relative HP# on the dyno, though the 900nm should give you some consolation as that is very strong. The HP# is calculated by the torque anyway. Can you post the actual chart? The TQ and HP should cross at 5252 rpm
Hey Pascal, That's a very strong number and it's in the right ballpark. The hp is calculated right? So say you're error range is +/-5%, that would put you at 700 crank. So I wouldn't worry about it, your performance times are outstanding for those set of mods and fuel.
Thxs men for your answers!
-to Ysf and Pete:
You are right, only the performance counts...
Meth kit is for sure a key but none 800kms around me has experience on it, and I do not have time enough to bolt it myself.
-to GT-Silver:
My VTGs are the FVD 123 041 and 042 if I'm right, I dunno the diameter but I guess about 63.5mm...
-to Tailwag:
When Enzo or ZR1 (about same perfs) WOT about 100kph a bit before me, I come back to them in one gear, and overtake with the next gear.
I can't say I "explode" them, but they can't hold even when I'm just before and cut the wind: I go away slowly but surely.
- to Gene:
Txs Gene, I'm quite glad now with my car, it has been more than 1 year improvements to reach this level, before that my tuned 993TT was more "emotionnal"...
I would like perhap's a bit better top end and overall consistent power from 5 to 20°C AT.
The chart is only a sheet, I have to scan it to share, I can do it at my office.
I checked it and the HP and TQ cross a very little bit sooner: about 5150rpm.
-to Dave:
Thx Dave, yes it is not bad, if we consider 5% error of calculation we are in the 700chp range.
I think this level is quite efficient and safe, of course more would be better, but would need new parts, tune and massive money...

This is True. If you Porsche is doing what it was designed to do; spank the competition, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
