997TT turning 100,000 kms
Folks,
I'm just south of 100,000 kms with my '07 TT and have had a few great years doing long road trips, city driving, and track days. I want more - of course!
I'm looking for advice about what to "replace" with this kind of mileage before I head off on my annual Calgary-San Diego road trip with about 10 or so summer track days included. I'm often on back roads in the middle of nowhere and the tracks tend to be out in desert. I just replaced the original battery and am wondering what else might be wise to replace before I head to SoCal so the P car remains as reliable as it has from day one. I don't like to replace before necessary but if it prevents an issue when I'm in remote country
I'd prefer to do it now. I think all my AWE etc. mods are ok.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance. K

fair question
I've only replaced:
The stock battery once,
plugs twice,
ceramic brake pads once,
rear main seal recently
lots of oil (every 8K kilometers) and of course tires, tires, tires.
But here is list of mods that have been done over the past few years to add to or replace stock parts (or those I can recall - us seniors don't have the sharpest memory at times). Basically I have the AWE 650 kit.
Bilstein suspension, sway bars, dog bones, front & rear links, WEVO engine mounts, etc.
AWE headers, muffler-exhaust, inter-coolers, Evolution high flow turbo inlet ducts, Sachs, light flywheel and Stage 2.5 clutch, upgraded crank pulley
ECU reflash
Air intake filters (forget the brand - but you can wash them)
Other modes like HRE, GMG RSR roll bar, TechArt rear wing etc. not relevant here I don't think.
Tunerworks has take care of all mods and keeps an eye on my car which has kept it totally reliable for all my miles.
Hope I haven't forgotten anything.

Power ok
Not sure what the power is but I think it's close to the AWE 650 kit - for me it seems like endless power and torque on the track. Last year at Auto Club Speedway I didn't have any trouble keeping up with an AWE 750 kit on a 997TT on the straight - for whatever that's worth. I'm putting in GT3 seat and 6-point harness in a couple of months. I enjoy "the feel" more than than the power. The former never gets old but the latter you tend to get used to. "Be the car" - right? If I had to do it over again the added power would be one of the last mods. But each driver has their own interests.

Are you kidding!? It would be a thrill to visit the factory and see how your rims are made (if possible) and the engineering and thinking that goes into them. Wow! If you don't mind I would like to contact you when I'm in the San Diego (May-Aug) to see if there is a convenient time to drop by.
Thanks again.

Here's a video to give you some pre-view

I don't kid. Ok, I do a lot, but not about a factory tour. We are open Mon-Fri, just let me know when you want to come. No problem.
