Guys,

How much longer are you guys planning on keeping your cars ?

And if/when you replace it, what are you going after next ?

 

I've got just over 4 years on my 08 and I think I can get 4 more years out of her before getting bored with it. By that time I might pick up a used 458 or a new 991 GT3 depending on how that looks when it comes out. But who really knows?

got a 430 on my mind now though.

 

I didn't have a lot of mods on my '08 Turbo but it had over 40,000 in factory options. Added exhaust, GIAC tune & Dymag wheels. In March of 2011 I traded in on a 458 Italia. I only kept it for about 8 months. I now understand why there are so many low milage Ferraris available. I wanted a manual transmission car to replace it. I didn't want to wait until the 991 Turbo arrived so I was going to get a 991 manual to drive until the Turbo arrived but figured I'd take a beating when trading on the Turbo in a few years. Also after driving a Turbo I thought I just wouldn't be satisfied with a "normal" Porsche. I ended up buying a used GT2.

 

 

Just got my 07 TT in January. Redoing a bunch of modification and much more to go. I think I will keep it for at least 4 years, if that damn GT2RS would just stop winking at me :-)

 

IMCARNUTS why did you get rid of the 458 Italia after only 8 months ? Why didn't you want to put miles on her ?

 

Just bought a 2007 997 TT with 600 horsepower from GMG racing mods. Can't imagine trading it in. I'd be really surprised if I had it less than 5 years.

 

Amit did you buy Vincents Turbo? If so, how do you like it?

'07TT with a very conservative 615bhp... definitely will be with me for at least another 3 years (if not for ever... slowly I'm converting this car to be just perfect for me).

Only thing that would sway me into something new (I think) would be the 991TTtS (tripple turbo )... which is at a minimum 5..6 years away.
