ECU Upgrade on a 2011 Turbo S - Has anyone actually done this?
I don't want to get into a debate about which tune is better, I'm more interested in actual gains. My understanding is that my Turbo S is almost exactly like a Turbo, but the software has been tuned a bit to push more boost. If this is the case, then it stands to reason that a tune on my car isn't going to show as much gains as a tune on a non S turbo. The various tuners show dyno graphs for the Turbo S with the tune pushing decent power to the wheels, but I haven't been able to find a true stock base line graph to compare. Which makes me a little suspicious.
Has anyone on here tuned the Turbo S, and if so, can you give me your impression?
Thanks.

Hey Mike, does the car feels noticeably better not necessarily faster?
I've Softronic tune on my 2011 turbo S. I've not been able to compare with a tuned up turbo vs tuned up turbo s, so I can t comment if they r the same or not
The difference is the turbo spools up fAster after Softronic, hence we can feel more torque earlier & the peak boost is raised to 1.2bar. Another thing I noticed is the car keeps on pulling even after 5k rpm till redline. On The stock turbo S, I seem to feel that the car is running out on breath at higher rpm
I've not done a pre & post dyno ... But I can confirm that u will be able to feel a significant gain in power & Torque after Softronic tune!

It is night and day. Not even close to the same as before.
My only complaint, and this is not softronic related... But it is.
I hate the clutch on my 2009 TT. With the soft pedal, I am still not used to the release point, and in sport mode, the car rev's so damn quick that I look like a new driver on take off. In non-sport mode I am much better.
I have too many years with heavy Corvette pedals that have a specific point and feel is much better.
Once I move forward with building my 09, the clutch and hydraulics will be changed to make the car have a more solid feel.
But to answer your question Quick, yes, the car is better. Period.

I had to take the foot off the pedal to correct it and then accelerate it slowly.. I wonder if that's the reason why people change to GT2 clutch slave cylender?
For reference here is a Turbo S which we compiled baseline runs for, then proceeded to flash with software for the necessary hardware. There are certainly gains to be made on the Turbo S, as we have had a few vehicles trap 130+ with only a tune and pump gas. Once the weather cools down, I will have some better time slips that I will be posting.
