Just joined the 997TT club!

Hey guys, I picked up 2007 997TT about couple weeks ago. It's got some miles(63k) but well taken care with very nice
options(including upgraded sound system) and more importantly it has a CPO warranty until August 2014. So I picked it
up with peace of mind. I'm coming from C6 Z06 which is a great car but nothing compares to 997TT. I have a plan to mod
it lightly since it has a warranty. I have done few already!
I know you guys want some pics for approval so here we go!

Swapped the hood with flat dry carbon.

Also replaced yellowish stock bulbs with 6000k to match LED lightings previously done. People say that the 6000k bulbs
decrease in performance compare to 4300k stock bulbs but IMO they do not. They are as bright as stock if not brighter.
I love them! Driver side is 6000k and passenger side is stock

Finally I just installed Fabspeed V3 exhaust with highflow cats and polished quad tips. Love the sound especially turbo
spooling sound at high rpms. No good pics of exhaust as of yet.

I will update this thread as I add more stuff in.

Congrats. She is a beauty. Looks like you added exhaust. What system did you install? I also like the wrap on the hood. BTW, very nice garage and I like your home made ramps.

Welcome to the family, now take that wrap off the hood and we have a keeper (looks exactly like mine, plus a few miles.) The first and best mod is the exhaust and what a difference it makes as well. Enjoy in the best of health!

His hood is the real deal according to his post. Not a wrap. If its a wrap, I agree, if its dry carbon, cool, get a gt2 bumper and go for the gt2-rs look.

The hood is not wrapped. It's a real flat finished dry carbon fiber hood from the VIS Racing. I love it!

Congrats on the new TT! I did the same thing going from a C6Z06, I haven't had the heart to sell the Z yet though...I'm thinking of just keeping it for a track car to use and abuse. The 911 is just a whole different animal...enjoy, I know I am!

Congrats on the purchase, just in time for spring !! It looks like your already diving in to the mods, I look forward to this thread. I would also consider a LED Lighting Kit if you haven't already. Were you looking for a TT for while or just sort of stumble upon it ?

TT has been always in my to own list since it came out. I just was not ready. Oh, I ordered the H&R spacers with some oils from you couple weeks ago. It already has full LED lighting kit in and out. Very cool!

Where did you get the headlight bulbs and how hard are they to swap out? I've never even looked, but yeah, I think I need to do the same.

You will love the switch, but there will be days you miss that V8 sound/feel, how wide and agressive the Z06 is and the ease/expense of repairs/upgrades. I'm a big vette fan, but if you drive these cars back to back, it's easy to see why cars with very similar performance capabilities differ so much in price.
