PASM sport mode help/question

I have the crap, aftermarket Bilsteins which have failed yet again. I'm thinking of going with the Ohlins units (not PASM compatible). My question is: will I be able to activate the PASM sport setting for the engine response only with non-PASM coil overs? I like the more sensitive engine response the sport mode offers and don't want to lose it. Thanks in advance for your response!

I would probably go back to OEM so you don't have to worry.

You need to find someone with a PIWIS to program (rather de-program it) for you, else it will throw all kinds of error codes and will disable the PASM.

I have the Bilstein and the pasm and it is an improvement over stock but it is still very on and off. I am very interested in people's views of the kW kit who have owned the bilstein previously.

P.S. Yes you can switch off the PASM and keep sport mode.

Your sport chrono would work fine without the pasm enabled

Sharkster, thanks for your response. Can you please clarify it? Currently, the light on the "PASM sport" button doesn't come on at all...meaning it doesn't work! The wire on one of my shocks is obviously severed (again) and that's what's keeping my sport option from working. So how can the sport option work if a non-PASM Ohlins shock is installed? Thanks for your help!

Wouldn't a cel come on if it was not working or a wire was cut.?

I do not know going with Durametric but with the Piwis it goes

on gateway
encoding
then PASM
then click not installed PASM
Write with F8
then unplug the control unit inside the front bottom right
Clear error
then everything is OK

I know that when I did my EVOMS ECU flash, they could have flashed the ECU to have "Sport Mode" always on.
