bored and was thinking: Dying Stitching
So I was sitting here thinking. It might be cool to change up the interior ( not commmitted just thinking) and why not just dye the threads the color you want? Seeing thats basicaly what a color is, a dyed thread. I had asked a shop regarding changing colors on a Boat seat and they said just dye it if its threars as thats what happens anyways
What is everyone thoughts. Again hypothetical here. I am tempted to try it though, on somethign besides the car for starters.

What color is your stitching now? I have had a similar thought myself. If it's white it would be easy to go any color, but mine is grayish and I was thinking it would need to be white before changing.

I don't recommend bleaching - not only does it damage the surrounding leather, but it dramatically weakens the thread, making it fray in a high friction area. The OEM silver/grey painted red will not look as bright red as OEM deviated red stitching.

How are you changing it? Dye or new thread
