another clutch thread

my clutch started to slip some days ago so it's time for a new one.
but i dont know which route to go.

LWFW ? or stock DMFW ?
Sachs 2.5 ?
ClutchMasters? if so...FX250? FX350?
or maybe a ERP Twin Disc? (tripple would be overkill)

there are sooo many options out there that i just can't decide.
does a lwfw improve acceleration?
i don't care about some kind of "rattle" on idle with a lwfw, but
some say that a lwfw isn't healthy for the gearbox...true?

help me out guys!

at the moment i'm looking at this combo:
Clutch-Kit

mods for now: fvd tune, catless exhaust, plenum+tb

cheers,
Luke

Hey bro I had that clutch kit for over 3 years with no issue at all.

Only issue I had is it couldn't handle the torque of my 3.8ltr with Hybrid VTG's so I have now upgraded to the 950nm plate and cover.

But it was still fine at stage 3.

In normal mode there is a slight rattle and with the air on on there is a little more but in sport mode the rattle is eliminated. In terms of drive ability its just like stock.

the Sachs stuff is the way to go. Most people think the LWFW is not good for a daily driver. Especially one that your wife is in

how much power will the Sachs 2.5 hold? Do people use it succesfully with dualmass flywheel?

About 800ish. Yeah it can go Dual or single with pretty factory drivability depending on the disc used.

Past 750/800 I like the Carbon Clutch/ERP set up.

I replaced my stock clutch with a Sachs Racing Stg 2.5 kit from DBC Performance in Texas. $1639 delivered to my door (great service from them). It performs virtually like the stock clutch and works perfectly with the stock flywheel. Will handle the HP of anything but a seriously tuned car. Highly recommended to me, and I have to agree....
