Airbag light

Got that tonight. I was messing with my oem fire extinguisher mount under the drivers seat last week. Is there a sensor or wire down there I could've jacked, a week later?

I changed my wheels and the SRS light came on, ended up being a faulty sensor at the bumper, just coincidence.

Probably its the wires under the seat, they are a bit sensitive.

You have to clear it out with Durametric then TURN OFF the ignition remove the key.

wait for 5 secs then turn it back on, it will be ok

If you are lucky you can disconnect and reconnect the battery or use a Durametric to reset the seat, hence the light.

If that doesn't cure it, it's a trip to the dealer to have the seat re-calibrated. I had to go through that when it happened to me.

When the light comes on for the passenger seat, the sensors definitely have to be reset. It's done with no weight on the seat, 20 pounds on the seat, 80 pounds on the seat and a grown man on the seat.

Ask the dealer exactly what process they are going to run and see if you can get procedure steps and also whether they have the right weights. My dealer had all the right weights and etc. I made sure I had all that paperwork and am keeping them, just in case the airbag malfunctions in an emergency. A bit paranoid on my part, but I rather be safe on this one.
