Porsche Magazine

I am a car guy through and through. I enjoy Road and Track and Car and Driver Monthly. I can read these magazine basically cover to cover regardless of the cars just for interest in general.

I get the Porsche magazine and struggle to get through it. I just find the articles and photographs boring. Nothing really sucks me in to the magazine. I occasionally find something of interest, The 918 article, but if I were paying for it, I would have canceled it long ago.

Am I the only one?

Are you referring to Excellence or the PCA magazine?

+1 for Excellence, you get a mix of coverage of classic & contemporary Porsches and technical articles. I believe the 991 targa is profiled in the most recent edition...waiting for some nice downtime to read through it...

It sure looks good, but it appears that a subscription costs over $150

It's a British import and isn't cheap. I think Barnes and Noble sells them also - again not cheap, but at least you could check out a copy and determine if it's worth it.

I go to Barnes and Noble once a month . I like " Total 911" the best. Now the other ones from Britain are excellent also, but I just read them there and leave them there. It's about 10 dollars a magazine.

I get Excellence sent to me (subscription) , the only problem I have with excellence is , there is a ton of advertising throughout the magazine . But , I like it also.

Also, based on Facebook , we are about a month behind as far as publication is concerned , here in the states. (Unless it's just here in Chicago).

I have been subscribing to Excellence since 1990, it is my favorite. But if you have an Ipad you can get the electronic issues of the British Porsche mags for not too much money, they are really good magazines as well. You may wanna look into that.

Dittos for Excellence. I read that one cover to cover as soon as I get it. Great information for a Porsche enthusiast.

+3 for Excellence -- great mix of modern, classic, and even resto-rods. The new Panorama format and content are also much improved. Both are keepers.

Ditto on Excellence and also the PCA Panorama of late. Both now have truly world-class writers and photographers as well as very strong advertiser bases.

I really appreciate the effort the former Panorama team put forth for many years, but that said, I had a 20-year collection that I could not even give away for free once I decided to unload it. They went into the recycling bin. That tells ya something. I did keep my nearly complete Excellence set, though.
