My car oversteers like crazy with the F&R factory recommended pressures. Even reducing the pressures to 37F & 40R still doesn't resolve the issue.
Are you sure that it oversteers? Other than the snap oversteer characteristic of these cars when cornering aggressively with stability control disabled, it is designed to significantly understeer from the factory....which is a good idea given that it's a 500+ HP car that is typically bought by people who don't know anything about driving. So the understeer characteristic probably saves an untold number of lives.
But lets assume that you drive the car hard with PSM disabled and you want to dampen the snap oversteer associated with a very powerful rear-engine car. You need to rear end to be "planted" as firmly as possible. And frankly you aren't going to accomplish that with tire pressure alone. A good start is rear end dog bone/end links, good tires and an alignment to match your driving style. Also, this work should be done by someone that actually races 911's.
Of course this is just a start. If you want to tighten up the rear end more and hit the track, then you need to get a good set of coils, dial in a lot of neg front camber, and you can have a car that handles like a GT2. Unfortunately it will take around $10K.

Those are the factory numbers. I had the dealer set to the door settings as well. If you check the manual, the factory pressure settings are 34/40. Comfortable ride and seems like perfect traction and balance. I'm a bit curious why they changed from the .1, which had recommended 33/39. Don't set the your tires according to the max settings on the door jamb.

I would say because at those lower pressures, the insides of the rear tires will wear faster than if the pressures were set higher.
Curious why you track with PSS. I tried once and it was downright dangerous. They melted and turned to grease. They are a 300 treadwear street tire so they aren't designed for heavy track use.
