Cant wait for this to be released! When Jay starts to tap his foot or leg, he begs to differ.
Sorry, I would need a week at the track to understand the flex deference on the actual rim. Tires would be the first give away for me.
For $15K who can come up with a better alternative??

cool video - i love the technology but the styles available are not really my favorite...
I agree - i doubt i'd feel a difference, however it would be interesting to compare some acceleration times with the stock brakes/tires to a car with the PCCB's and those wheels.

Those BBI guys seem to have a way of getting themselves involved with the latest fun stuff & Jay looks like his helmet is to small, looks like his face is all squished in that helmet
You really can't find a heavier wheel that the cast OEM GT3 wheels they compare the carbon wheels to in the video. The OEM 19" 997GT3 wheels are extremely heavy at 24.3lbs for the front 19x8.5s and 30.8lbs for the rear 19x12s. A good set of forged aluminum 18" wheels that almost everyone runs that tracks these cars are are going to be much less (almost no one runs 19s for track duty). My Finspeeds weigh 18.7lbs for the 18x9s and 20.9lbs for the 18x12 rears. That is almost 6lbs less for each front wheel and 10lbs less for the rear wheel with a total unsprung reduction of 32lbs compared to OEM. In the video they stated that the carbon wheel give you 40lbs of reduction compared to OEM. I would be willing the bet you that the difference between a good set of high quality stiff lightweight forged wheels and the Carbon wheels would be quite negligible if not impossible to tell as you are dealing with a difference of about 8lbs total unsprung weight. No way you could feel that... Even my 19x9x12 Champions are quite light in the ballpark of 20 lbs each..

Leno does looked stoned. While watching the video i thought, Some life he has to drink a few beers and shoot some video. I think the beer really hit him while he was on the CF rims though.Magnesium would be interesting though.
Pwdrhound, I think you can find a heavier wheel than the OEM GT3 rim. I managed to do this easily with my 20's at 57lbs for one rear. My 20" set must weigh a whooping 180lbs.
Yeah, but your 20s are gangsta wheels made with armor plating to deflect bullets. They're made heavy on purpose brotha...
I need to get focus for sure with my two setups.

For $15K, I would rather have 3 sets of quality track wheels and about $3K to put towards other areas of the car.
Love my MS61's!!!
