Key un/lock button broke off

Hi all,

Went to lock my car today and noticed this piece was missing. Anyone know if the button can be ordered or a new shell ordered?

Thanks in advance Click image for larger version

Sure - you can get this from Suncoast. This is the updated shell - I'm sure you can order the original too.

They are all over Ebay for well under the price from Suncoast, but you will get the right part from Suncoast and it is worth the extra money.

Thanks guys for the info. Unfortunately it looks like the suncoast part requires dealer coding? Plus all I need is that little button or just the empty shell. I'll check out Ebay.

Thanks again

Be sure to search for the DIY on how to transfer the internals into your new shell...unless you're just planning to cannibalize your missing piece. If you move everything from old to new you'll also have to remove the transponder chip (glued in) and transfer. That seems to be the most difficult part of the retro-fit.

Thanks for the tip. Actually I'm just planning on snapping in the new shell half that has the buttons, onto the old shell half base that has the hardware. Or if not, just moving the new un/lock button onto the old key shell. Either of those should work right?

I popped the new button into my old shell......to keep it a little more oem. Either should work but original shell may have a more precise fit/finish.
