What do you think of this deal?

2 owner 997.1tt, 41km (translates to 25k miles). Sports Chrono, Bose, 6MT, Alcantra headliner. New clutch, new Michelin tires, upgraded suspension.

Teachart front bumper, Techart side skirts, Techart rear bumper, Techart exhaust, "Upgraded suspension," 20" Techart Formula alloy wheels. No apparent engine mods I'm aware of. No accidents, and pics look clean.

Initial price of $64,500.

Currently located in Canada at a seemingly high end dealership.

What do you guys think of the price?

With all the body mods and suspension I would guess it has a tune.

Great price but I would check the DME report...

New clutch with only 25k miles. Eather it's been thrashed or it has been tunted. Or both.

I'd also take a paint meter with you, just because it has a clean carfax/autocheck does not mean it hasn't had panels resprayed, just to be safe. Seems like a great deal if clean.

That sounds a little too cheap...I would tread carefully.

Got a chance to speak to the owner of the dealership (seems like a small business owner who owns a high end dealership). No engine mods, no tune; all maintenance records on hand. Just Techart exhaust and Techart suspension as "mods." Prior owner was a stockbroker. I am curious as why the clutch needed to be replaced at 25k miles; he claims this was a $6k job.

Guy is willing to bring the car to a Porsche dealership for an inspection. I'm waiting for him to email me copies of maintenance records before I decide whether or not to proceed forward with a PPI. I assume I do a PPI before I make an offer, esp since I would have to place a bid on Ebay and such bid is biding.

Too much money for a molested car.

Lot of people jumping to conclusions here...and some people saying too little, some saying too much... sigh.

I would have a PPI done -- clutch @ 25k does seem a bit strange but then again, I needed a new steering rack at 10k and I don't beat on my car. It sounds like it's a good car -- and PPI should be able to confirm/deny.

Some really good opinions here that you should take with you.

First things first, as mentioned earlier I would paint meter the car. Aftermarket bumpers can mean one of three things: 1- Car was in an accident and sometimes aftermarket bumpers are cheaper to replace, 2- Someone likes the look of the aftermarket bumpers and just wanted a certain look, or 3- Both.

Then get a PPI with DME, 25k miles on a clutch like stated already could mean nothing or everything. These cars get beat on all the time, if the DME is within spec get an aftermarket warranty if that helps you sleep at night.

Lastly, it doesn't matter what we all think if you like the car, and it checks out, buy it and enjoy it!
