I didn't get a 997.1 Turbo but I did get a new Stingray!!
Man it was a tough choice and I LOVE the 997 turbo. It was just the fear of something going wrong withe the car and not having a warranty. Even maintenance was a little more costly than I am use to. I test drove a C7 Z51 and was blown away by how much better it was than my C6. My friend and I both ordered 2015 Z51 A8 cars. He just ran at atco bone stock 11.4 at 123mph. These A8 cars are pretty quick!! I am going to keep it simple and just do an intake and a tune and enjoy the car. Thanks to all the guys that helped me on this site. The color is Shark Gray.
OK So i work at Champion Porsche in sales We are the worlds largest porsche dealership I also was going to get a 997 twin turbo I also drive $200k turbo s cars daily on test drives I also own a couple of 930 turbos so when i was contemplating the Porsche turbo my neighbor who was a longtime Porsche turbo and GT3 owner bought a 2015 a8 z51 C7 One day he said before you buy a turbo drive my car to work End of story I called Rick Conti at Coughlin Chevrolet and bought a velocity yellow z51 a8 Ive put 750 miles on it Wow! I love this car Yesterday i was checking out a 2012 GT2 RS in service The main service writer who i let drive my car walked by and said Id take your vette any day THATS GETTING A BIT CARRIED AWAY BUT YOU GET THE POINT

But 11.2 at 123mph?!? I can maybe see the trap speed at Atco, but the 11.2 doesn't compute with that trap speed assuming stock tires and stall. Are you sure it wasn't an 11.6 or 11.7?
Here is the fast list for the new Stingrays that have been posted on CF. Just to get an idea, So the 11.2 at 123 the MPH seems to be on par. OP Your ride looks awesome, I am getting the Z06 with new A8 trans, cant wait.

Very cool!! Yes I love my A8 Z51 it's a great car. I won't lie I would also love to have a mint 997.1 Tip car with a tune and exhaust but I cannot afford both. Good luck with the Stingray
PS- Rick is a good dude I bought my 2008 Jetstream Blue C6 Z51 from him. Great experience.
I'd love to get a test drive in a Z06-bet that would be really special. Congrats on the new vette-watch out for those modified p cars
LOL yea I am not messing with you guys. Eventually the plan is to do what I did with my C6 vette. ECS blower kit, meth injection, and longtubes. Then ill be more playful
