AMS Alpha 9 & 10 - 997.1 Turbo - 6speed promo w/PTF custom tuning packages

Hey guys, wanted to give a heads up to those that have inquired over the last while on purchasing and custom tuning their aftermarket turbo setups with us and more specifically purchasing and custom tuning of the exceptionally well engineered and built fully bolt-on AMS Alpha 9 & 10 kits.

Over the past year we've been having great success tuning VTG as well as Tial Alpha based turbo kits on the 997.1 platform demonstrating and discussion data and results gathered on this and other forums. For tuning we've been really happy with a Cobb Accessport+EBC setup. We've also done quite a bit with the new AEM Infinity standalone which we've found quite capable. For tuning we are offering both local as well remote tuning services both of which are equally capable in getting the most out of your given setup.

We'd like to extend our offering through a special 6speed member package promo to those interested in going to the next level of performance with these kits and offer our custom tuning services in a package that will certainly leave little to be desired in the performance department for up to 1000+hp levels (where motor internals allow).

Our custom tuning services are on time cost covering Cobb Accessport tuning with the stock ECU as well AEM Infinity standalone. You are provided with contact and support by one of our seasoned protuner staff for any advice, questions, log review and tune adjustment at any time. Our custom tuning is lifetime in that we don't require payment for any map updates/support down the road once you've purchased a tune from us and we strive to return all map updates within 24 hours of email received Mon-Fri and more often than not weekends as well.

Let us know if you've got any questions on the AMS turbo kits on their own or any questions related to our custom Cobb tuning and package offers with the kits.

Feel free to email me directly at dzenno@protuningfreaks.com and we'd go from there.

Hey Dzenno,
Is it possible to get these kits without the IC package if you already got the Alpha coolers?

how do these packages integrate with aftermarket exhausts? Do they bolt right up or do you need a special pipe in between like what you did with your a3076's?

According to AMS the kits are confirmed to bolt up to the AWE exhaust without additional work. I can double check for you if there's a particular exhaust you're looking to find out about. Its possible that with any other exhaust brand a section of the exhaust that mates the turbos to the exhaust would need to be custom fabbed.

I have the same as you. Kline, cat-less. I was thinking since they don't make any mention of it that perhaps they were using a different housing that would mate to all aftermarket exhausts that originally mate to stock turbos.

The difficulty is length, the alpha turbos are thicker/taller (from compressor inlet to the exhaust outlet). If your exhaust sits close to the rear bumper you will have problems. I think it's only about 3/4" difference to stock though. Most exhausts should be ok I would think. Europipe I know won't fit.

Dzenan, have you guys tuned any stock motor E85 Alpha 9 kits so far? What kind of power did they make?

Not with E85 just yet. It hasn't been available to the guys I've tuned so far and most have gone either pump+meth or individual tunes for pump gas and race gas. People do seem to worry about E85 out there unfortunately when pump gas is something I'd worry about rather than E85 The other thing is injectors that come with the kits (ID1000s) would most likely max out on duty with E85 and possibly/maybe other fuel system components would need upgrading (fuel pumps/lines/rails). Pump/meth gets you very very far though given stock motor limits and the stock fuel system minus injectors.
