According to all the videos posted by non Porsche owners, every 997 turbo has 1000 whp. That's the magical number when you beat one. When you see a video of a car and there is no weight transfer on gear changes, it's not making much power. A car making 1000 whp should almost lift the front tires at 30 mph on acceleration.

Don't underestimate the Baltic supra haha I think it easily runs 9 sec 1/4, and auto vs 6spd was not helping. Both great cars though

 

A 1000 whp Porsche easily runs 9 seconds and the supra ran away like it was sitting still. Would need 2000 hp to do that.



Here's a realistic video of a "650 WHP" Porsche racing a built engine supra, forward to about 2 minutes.

 

PDK is amazing for sure. It really wouldn't surprise me if the 997 was making 900whp in the the first video as this supra has been hurting some feelings. Look at the build list, we are comparing a stock block 997 with some bolt on turbos to a fully built Auto Supra.

Here is a video that will compare to some other 1000whp supras.

 

He's not running away from him by that much. It's a couple hundred horsepower difference exacerbated by slow shifting in the Porsche I believe.

 

I couldn't agree more, the 997 Turbo is an amazing machine for what it can do with minimal mods. Although I am a bit biased.

I have seen that Porsche in Mexico and it is really fast, actually raced him in my 800+ RWHP Shelby and after 4th gear he pulled 2 cars on me. Also raced the Supra and it is wicked fast with the auto tranny.
