How do I know if I have ceramic brakes?

Sorry if this has been asked before, didn't search around yet. How do I know if I have ceramic brake upgrade? I recently purchased a 2007 997.1 turbo with 45k. I do have yellow calipers, occasional brake noise when brakes are cold, and further more don't see any brake dust. I only covered 300-400miles so far. Mods are in my future and hoping to learn a lot from you guys. Thanks in advance

Take a picture of the rotors, you can tell. Do you see any rust on them?

I attached a pic, just tried putting a pick up magnet against it but won't stick
So I'm guessing it is. It looks like it's new :-) bargain for the price I picked it up for if it is. An option I wasn't expecting also has sport and haven't yet pushed the button. Still figuring the car out before I really play.

Yes I'd say those are the real deal :-)

The sport button was (is) a very popular option on the turbo..

Did you buy the car locally? Dealer or private party?

Lol to late already priced them out but found brembo has an alternative for it if needed. Plus I don't track the car, I track my bikes so I should be good there. For now lol looking forward to learning a lot on it here. Tons of great information so far from reading. Thanks

Traded a 2013 cls550. Previous to that I was a die hard BMW owner but BMW went on a down fall to me with new designs. I still own a BMW but it's old school/project car(currently under construction e30 325i convertible, e30 m3 front bumpers, fender, and quarter panels ( still sourcing bumpers), s50 engine with stage 3 rms supercharged kit,(freshing up motor as we speak). Not even going into transmission and differential details. Wifey wants me off sport bikes so she let me go to sport cars lol don't know how she gonna like that since mods are a lot more costly. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Bought it from a dealer, they didn't know much about it lol. 58k otd was reasonable to me hope I did good. Wife wanted me to get a sports car and this seems to be the most reasonable maintenance cost car on the market.

Awesome! I had an E30 M3 and miss it more than any other car. There is a shop here called Castro Motorsport in N. Hollywood that I always see old school M cars parked at when I pass by. Maybe they can help.

Price wise, you did great, especially if a manual. If a tip, it appears in the ballpark.

I'd be skeptical of a dealer that didn't know how to look up build/options on any car on their lot, especially a 911TT. If you didn't conduct a PPI prior to purchase I'd have a good porsche Indy give it a once over and inform you if the car needs anything.

Otherwise, enjoy your new ride!
