After 5 years of hoping, wishing, saving...I bought a Turbo
Definitely worth the wait. As I researched and saw the improvements Porsche was making, I finally settled on the 997.2 platform.
This Turbo S is the first S I have ever driven. After my test drive, I was sold!
Decided to go big vs going home...lol

Looks stunning and amazingly quick out of the box as I'm sure you know - its the first 911 turbo I ever driven where I thought after driving one this doesn't need to be any quicker lol!
Enjoy it for a few months before doing any mods IMO. Mine was a dd so I waited 7 years from owning it new until I took it out of Porsche warranty before doing any mods. Over here we can't mod with CPO. With a lovely gen 2 turbo S like yours I honestly don't think I would have bothered with mods apart from maybe a nice set of wheels and a Europipe sports exhaust.
I'd perhaps be looking for a set of lovely 9 and 12 inch CL at some stage so you can go 245 and 325 tyre size. Really fills the wheel arches out nicely and gives the car a better stance IMO. Congrats!

[/QUOTE]Reading varied posts on this site certainly encourages mods...I just bought some clear markers on ebay.
I would like to buy a Europipe, paint the front lip and very bottom side skirts, get a radar detector, and that's about it. A tune "seems" appealing, but I'm far from it simply b/c I'm still in awe of this car's power. I suppose once the new to me shock wears off, I will begin tinkering with mods.
Thanks,
Yes, took a long while but I feel very blessed. For me, this purchase represents a MAJOR life goal and I am just on cloud 9. Still can't quite fully believe it...
