I'm new to porsches and bought myself a 07 997 tiptronic turbo in oct last year.
Had some rusted actuators in the turbos so had them rebuilt with larger billet inducers (now 46.5mm) and standard size exducers.
Also upgraded intercoolers to do88 units, evoms intake piping, turbosmart bypass valves and stainless better flowing headers.
Tuned with a cobb accessport by Protuning freaks remotely.
Only recently had a chance to take it to the drags and best time was 11.4 quarter at 120mph trap speed. Sports mode on with traction control off. Tuned on 93 octane (or australian equivalent anyway)
My question is with the above mods does this time sound right?
I know the OTS turbo units most companies sell also clip the exducers on the turbos, is this worth doing? Will i get more power doing this? Or should i invest in new plenum/TB. Any help would be appreciated.
If you are tiptronic, this can't be driver-mod related. Those times are not realistic based on the mods you have. I would think even with a poor launch, you should be trapping closer to 130mph.
Something is not right, I did on a ****ty track 11.35 stock, with only exhaust.
I would check for leaks, or bad gas. How does the car feels drivability wise? Misfiring? Pinging?
Car drives fine, no misfiring or pinging. I've booked in for a boost leak test on the 20th, hopefully it's a simple boost leak somewhere and an easy fix...
Boost leaks performed and all good. Did throw up a code on the mechanics system saying p1252 stiff boost actuator.
We've reset the code and I'll be back in a week to see if it comes back. Turbo comes off If it does...

Agreed.
As mentioned many times above, something isn't right.
You should be trapping very close to 130's and over 130's with a VTG billet upgraded turbo's.
