Hey guys...I am probably looking at a spun camshaft issue (pending arrival of new actuator to confirm). I always hope for the best, plan for the worst.

That being said I would like to take 2-5mins of your time. Please PM me with your actual first hand experience in dealing with shops in the South Florida area. A 1-2hr radius from Fort Lauderdale is fine with me.

Full builds, repair work, competency, good customer service, reasonable turn around times....if you had a wonderful experience then I would like to know. I would lean towards a shop that has dealt with the common ailments of the 997 as I plan on addressing every weak point currently known, while adding some goodies.


I prefer a discrete PM as I am not seeking to create another thread where bashing and/or dogmatic views are beat to death. If you have had your car touched by a shop and had nothing but success with your car then I would like to hear from you.

Check out Foreign Affairs Motorsport, they live and breath Porsche. They installed my sachs 2.5 clutch kit and full alignment.
