GMG vs. Xpipe

Thinking of switching out my GMG/HJS catted system out for a x-pipe catless system. I also have GMG headers. Opinions?

Why not just swap your HJS cats for test pipes?

Thought about that but GMG has them welded in and I would hate to cut it up.

you can have a set made up for not a ton of cash if your catless. just remember to have the x just kiss each other and not crash into each side. srm makes a decent stainless setup all tig welded if you want me to call sean

First question is do you have bigger turbos, if you do they will benefit a lot from this...which ever brand you decide on, I would go 3" pipes...also, check BBI's hatless pipes, they have proprietary cone shape that is said to do miracles.

Marpir,

Your GMG system is an x pipe system, if you were to go test pipes that would make your system very loud, as the GMG is on the louder side already, the GMG system sounds very very nice (one of my favorites for the 997tt)

Another thing to think of with the test pipes, your rear bumper cleaning maintenance will increase because of the staining from running test pipes, the good news is the increase in power is noticeable.

I think your right. It sounds great. Its a super quality system which is why I dont want to hack it up. Im **** about the cleaning so thats a good point. Was just looking for some more power and some turbo sound.
