On my 997.2 TT, I've been leaving mine off. What do the rest of you do?

The DRLs on the 997.1 turbo are the headlights. Activating them turns on all the exterior lights, just like the headlight switch. I leave mine in the "off" setting. On the 997.2 turbo, the DRLs are the LEDs in the front bumper, where the fog lights are located in the 997.1. If I had a 997.2, I would most likely leave my DRLs in the "on" setting.

 

Opinion seems to be split. I don't love the OEM DRLs. I'd like the front turn signals on my 997.2 TT to be my DRLs. Anybody know of an easy and good way to do this?

 

I've always thought it was a "dorky" feature in general but with my 997TT I've left them on in distant hope it will improve other drivers'/bikers'/cyclists' visibility of me in canyon and mountain type driving, which is mostly what I do.

I agree... I want to be 'noticed': in a good way..

 

There are aftermarket lights that do it. I like the idea, but the report online of longevity issues are concerning.
