Need Tire Help

Ok... So, I called about getting some new tires for my new wheels. No big deal right? Well, the guy from said tire dealer told me he couldn't sell me the tire size I asked for because the load rating was wrong for my car.

2011 Turbo S came with 19's. I'm putting 20"x9" fronts and 20"x12" rears. I asked for a 245/30/20 fr and 325/25/20 rears. He said his "tire selector" informed him that's the wrong sized tire for the car!!! Noooooooo shiiiiiit?!?!! Anyway, I told him I didn't need the factory size, blah blah blah... Long story short, he "can't" sell me those tires for my car! Wrong load rating he says. They're 101 and I need a 102! Anyone ever hear of this?

Million dollar question is... What size and brand tires are all you guys running on these 997.2 cars with 20" wheels? I'm not a tire expert but I'm floored by this guys assessment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

245/30/20 and 325/25/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports here - no issues almost 2 years now.

Where did you go to get tires?

Thank you for the feedback. I may end having to get them from Tirerack. Wheels are being made now, so I've got time.

You will be fine. By the book they don't match up but that's often the case when trying to go for this type of fitment and stagger that aren't OE sizes. That's gonna look awesome!
