This info should squash all the rumors... I saw these two beasts on www.fast-autos.net and then on the Mercedes Germany website, so these are definitely the real deal!

Rumors of what? What's the big deal, these are not new cars. Slight increase in hp on the Sl55, slightly revised bodywork, little bit of CF..... ?!?!?!

 

Ummmm, yeah, what are we missing here?

 

People were saying the sl 55 was going to be discontinued for the sl 63. There was also talk of an slr style nose, i got into an argument with a mb salesman about the nose. He said it would have it, I told him there were pics on mercedes-benz's corportate site that say otherwise.

Not exactly... the 997 is a completely different car from the 996, it just happens to resemble the 996. Don't be a hater....

 

I think that's exactly the point... there won't be a big deal (hence the rumour squashing)

 

I don't understand why they dont put the slr nose on the sl mercs. The SLk and SLr have them, why no for the SL.
