New here need some info on 996 TTS 2005

Looking seriously at a 2005 TTS with ceramics - pads are 50 front 60 rear , called a dealer like 5 miles away from cars location , figuring they would have done a pre inspection on it already, talking to the service manager he said can't help me with somebody else pre results, so I asked about the ceramic brakes and he said that the rotors need to changed with the pads and the highly recommend it, and I am like hummm. Definately not what I have been reading, any input with people that have ceramics. How long do the rotors usually last ??? Please chime in.
Thanks
Lew

Rotors should last a looooong time if taken care of >50k. The like thicker pads for heat transfer so if tracking the car swap you pads when they get below 50%. IF you do need to swap rotors just go for a nice steel set with appreciate pads. New ceramic rotors are silly money. There is a company that offers serviceable ceramics, but also $$$. Good luck!
