Previous 930 owner, looking for my next p-car thrill. I have 3 choices that fit my budget and need your 2 cents and why. My choices are a 2012 c4s pdk, 2012 gts4 pdk, and an 07 turbo tiptronic sport chrono. All are nice well sorted vehicles with comparable miles. Having had a turbo, I automatically am intrigued with having another, but would a newer 991 body style be a better choice ?? I'm not a track guy but I do terrorize the backroads on a regular basis. Give me your thoughts !

Forgot to add that yes, I've driven all 3 and honestly can't choose one over the others. Guess I am looking for opinions on why one might be preferable over another whether it be resale, collectability, or maintenance issues.

 

if you don't care about the extra power from the turbo, you'll probably be happier with the GTS

 

GTS would be my choice! Own a gorgeous 2007 turbo, but the GTS is a sweet ride!

 

Lord says to get a 996 Turbo or a 997.1 Turbo, 6sp manual, of course. Because power delivery is intoxicating.
997.1 Turbos w/6sp manuals would be more money, but I think a 996T w'6sp manual would be right there in the 997.1 tip price range.
Anyway, you can't go wrong with any 911 you mentioned before. Good luck

 

Do you drive a lot in traffic? Lots of power and nowhere to run those horses wild is so anticlimactic. In terms of automatic...I'll take PDK any day.

 

Did you drive a 997.2 pdk turbo? I think you might be sold.
