I have been using Battery Tender with cigarette lighter adapter for decades. It’s easy to use and inexpensive.

I use CTEK chargers for all 4 cars. My turbo battery (Interstate) is now 7 years old, cranking like new!

I bought the porsche OEM one, It may be from Ctek as they look quite similar, they are about $150~$200 depends on your dealer.

CTEk....they make Porsche version and yes the Pcar decal costs you more😂 I’ve used them for years and they work great. The cigarette lighter isn’t always the best option as when the car goes to sleep so does the socket. I use the hard wire to the battery and just pop the plug below the cowl when driving.

That's been my concern as well. The cigarette lighter stops working when the car is turned off. Thus, the circuit is cut. How does the charger continue to work under this condition?

UPDATE: I got the CTEK today and plugged it into the cigarette lighter. It seems that the battery is recharging just fine. I read more and it seems that the port is active for some time... The status is 4, recharging the last 80% of the battery. I ordered the extension for the cable so I can mount the charger to the wall of my garage. I'll give it some room to dissipate the heat it puts out.

I use a CTEK and use the cigarette lighter in the center console. The socket doesn’t appear to go to sleep or disconnect. After a week or more, the charger is still doing it’s thing and works fine. My car is an 07 model year.
