Blinkers and Headlights Failing in Cold Weather
Blinkers and Headlights Failing in Cold Weather
So my '15 Cayenne S has been having issues that the dealer can't seem to figure out. Symptoms are all blinkers (front and rear) and driver low beam fail when the outside temperature is below 55F. Once the car warms up to operating temperature, the headlight and blinkers all miraculously function again. A few nights ago I discovered a new symptom which seems to be sporadic; with the temperature below 50F and my headlight switch turned to OFF, my LED DRLs began to blink on and off. Last year I had an issue where only my driver headlight would "freak out" and would flash rapidly sometimes, work other times, or just stay completely dead. Dealer blamed it on a "rogue screw that cracked the headlight housing" (to this day I have not found the crack but fully siliconed the perimeter of the headlight housing anyway) and replaced the headlight module (for $750). Seemed to do the trick until this year along with the new symptoms.
Has anyone experienced this behavior before or have any suggestions on what may be causing the issue? I'm still under my CPO warranty but can't seem to get a real resolution from the dealership... Any help is appreciated!!!
