Cayenne won’t start/random error messages on instrument cluster
I have been getting intermittent non-start issues. I turn the key and nothing. All electric works like radio and windows and headlights. But the engine will not crank. Displays “random” error messages in cluster that are not stored.
Car was towed to the Porsche Dealer who said probably low voltage from an old battery. I paid big dollars to replace it even though the current battery was only 18 months old.
For months now I still have the same intermittent non-start issue. I always get multiple error codes, however not all the same error messages with each non start occurrence. Such as start stop deactivated, fault headlight control, PASM, coolant display defective, oil temperature display defective
It usually starts again after a few hours or next day. I pulled carpets and no sign of water or corrosion.
The car always starts when I bring it to the dealer of course, but the Dealer has ran a couple of test and no errors are ever stored in the computer. They said without error codes they can’t figure out what’s going on. I ran my icarsoft scanner when it happened in my driveway, and got literally dozens of error codes :-) however when the car restarted the following day no error code were officially stored.
Any thoughts on how to fix or if anyone had had a similar problem please let me know. 2012 Cayenne V6 130,000 miles. Absolutely no issues other than this in the past five years of ownership.
