DB9 Center rear lift point
DB9 Center rear lift point
Hey guys, the workshop manual lists a center lift point for the front in the form of the front subframe rail, which I have successfully used. I’ve read about some shops using a similar center lift point in the rear, but I cannot find it officially in the workshop manual. Does anyone know of a safe center lift point for the rear? I’m going to pull the plastic cover panel when I get home and have a look. I still have the front of the car on jack stands on the factory side lift points, I’d like to raise the rear from a center lift point and put stands under the side lift points to have all 4 corners off the ground.

For the headers, I do have a couple of friends coming to help, one of which is bringing a set of quick jacks. I already have the jacking pads specific for this car that I picked up from AstonUpgrades, I’m thinking that’s all I need in order to use those? However, they won’t be available for a week or two due to the holiday and in the meantime my car is just sitting with front wheels + liners out. So, I had thought while I was waiting I might lift the rear and do the trans and diff service.
I’m located in north central Alabama. The friends that are coming to help are both seasoned mechanics, but neither have worked on an Aston previously.
