I finally took the plunge!

Well guys yesterday I passed by my dealer and spoke with the salesman that sold me my 2005 997S and got some good news! Someone cancelled out of an allocation for a March 22nd build date/late April - early May delivery date on a 2007 997 Turbo. Because he was able to spec the car exactly like I wanted to, I went ahead and placed a deposit on it. Soon, I will be selling my baby on my own (will miss it) because of the "hit" I would take trading it in. IF its not sold when the Turbo arrives well, I'll have no choice. We did not discuss a trade at all so I wouldn't know until it came down to it. I figure 2 months before it is scheduled to arrive would be a good time to sell my car. Anyhow, because I am a previous customer I did get a small discount off sticker but prefer to keep that confidential right now until its a done deal. When the deal is completed I will have a better idea and will post it. Here is my spec sheet. I did not go for the ceramics because of the cost and prefered to spend my money on some nice leather options......to each his own.......... I just couldn't do both. Also, I did not forget the CD changer, I just could care less because I prefer to use my IPOD. I could always add a CD changer later. The status of the car is: MFGCNF so I really don't want to make any additional changes. If all goes well I should have this thing by May but until its in my hands its not a reality.

sounds like a beautiful car. it seems like it is not uncommon now for people to get 2-3k off a turbo order. it is good that buyers like yourself report the fact that you are getting a little discount, so people stop paying some dealers, especially the florida dealers, over msrp. you spec'd out your car well-i hope you enjoy it. an end of april build may not deliver unti early or mid june.

Thanks guys. I'm sorry for the typo and corrected it. Its supposed to be end of March build, early May delivery (not April build).

He's probably going to get the Dension Gateway 500 for it. He'll be able to use the iPod afterwards.

Nice job buddy! Lots of leather! I would've gotten all those PLUS the ceramic brakes but to each his own... I love those yellow calipers.

He's already at MFGCNF - adding stitching will push back production.
