I was checking the pictures and started wondering ? Wouldn't it be better to have the muffler inlet and outlet diameters enlarged to being the same size as the pipe coming off the catalytic converter ? Wouldn't there be an advantage of increased exhaust flow and HP ?

Chris one of those exhausts and a set of headers is yours indeed... as far as a discount goes. You do realize with the dog's ceramic coating you'll get more HP

 

No it's not. None of the 997TT exhausts are loud inside the car, except for straight pipes...

 

Hey Q8 the inlet on the cats and outlet _are_ very much enlarged. I should have shown you a pic of a stock one. The only point that's knecked down is at the very end for the tips. Everyone does that (even though I wish they wouldn't) in order to fit stock exhaust tips..
