AWOL : Glass Buttons now found.....
#16
for any glass button that can be bought from factory, we will supply @ $95 each.
for any button that is not available in glass from factory, such as hazard warning, aircon select or heated screen we will supply @ $295 each
for any icon / graphic built into a glass button the owner creates from imagination, we will also supply for $295
because button specs differ significantly, to enable me to give quotation all i need to know is complete list of buttons required.
but for example, Most sportshift cars will need 12 buttons (x4 top row by start button, x5 lower console and x3 center console). Of those, 8 will be std and 4 custom made, therefore x8 @$95 and x4 @$295
hope this clears the confusion

I just ordered a set of glass buttons from Bamford Rose for my 2007 6-speed Vantage. Since Aston didn't offer glass buttons for the early cars, Bamford Rose makes custom ones that match the font and line style of the early car plastic buttons. The only Aston-OEM button that is correct in an early Vantage is the one for the rear fog light. The other 6 have to be custom made. Unless you don't care if all the fonts and line weights match on all the buttons. In that case 3 of the 7 buttons could be OEM - but the OEM buttons would have an italic font and have thicker line weights than the "correct" buttons.
These aren't cheap! I had to take a deep breath before making the plunge. At least I don't have Sportshift and need only 7 buttons instead of 12. I'll post some pictures when mine arrive.

Howdy, you might want to send Mike a message through the forum, he last posted in this thread about two years ago so he might not see your post any time soon.

My buttons just arrived this morning. It took Bamford Rose 5 working days to process the order and make the buttons, then 3 days for shipping from England to Wisconsin. Plenty fast! Here are some photos, they look fabulous in person. I'll be installing them in the next few days and will post more pictures.

OK, that was quick - I couldn't wait to get started so ran out to the garage and installed the new buttons. Pretty simple, only skinned one knuckle. Took me about 1.5 hours to do all 7, but I've taken my console apart many times before so no time wasted there.
Here are some cell phone photos. Thanks Mike @ Bamford Rose for the great service!

Question - is Bamford Rose still making these custom glass switches? And what happens with the "comfort" switch for those of us with 07MY sport shifts? Does the LED light correctly (only when "COMFORT" is engaged)?
