Question Can the bumper reflectors be removed?

On North-American-spec Aston Martins, the front and rear bumpers have extra reflectors (which I've circled in blue on the picture). Does anyone know if these bumper reflectors are simply glued on and can be removed? Or are they bolted on and removing them would reveal a mark/hole on the bumper? Thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that they are drilled into the bumper. I would suggest removing them and having them painted the exterior color if possible.

Paint them in exterior colour or tint them, worst case is to contact a european dealear and purchase a new front and rear bumper.

Hi!

Im want to remove the bumper overiders, from a US spec 2005 DB9.

As I live in Norway I dont need or want them anywhere near my car.

But how do i remove them? Is it difficult?

The plastic bumpers on each side of the number plate are the ones I want to remove.

Funny you resurected this post as I was admiring my car in the garage last night and thinking how much cleaner my car would look without these. It kind of dates the car. Maybe I should have them painted the exterior color of the car. Not a bad idea at all.

I called the dealer on Monday, inquiring whether I could order White Lenses, to replace the Orange ones. No luck.

Yes, they definitely give a "dated" look, but how can I remove the extra "bumpers".

They obviously have no real function and thank god aren't mandatory in Norway. So I want to get rid of them ASAP

Are they just screwed on behind the license plate? Will i need to have the trunk lid painted after removing them?

They have a function...they are the light source for illuminating the rear license plate, they aren't bumper overriders.

aaah, ok, that i didn't know. But on the European version the license plate is illuminated from the top, by lamps inside the trunk lid. So then I have change the light placement

The Vantage collection (now called the Vcollection) sell clear bumper lights. You can see pics of one of the cars they've installed it on on their flicker page.

I saw these too, and i ordered them but they make no mention of how to replace the old ones with the new ones. It's rather perplexing!
