Aston Martin Rapide Spotted with Glass Roof
Earlier today we caught the first shots of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS racing round the Nurburgring and fortunately this wasn't the only car the British manufacturers were testing.
Revealed in these latest spy shots, we can the see the super sexy Aston Martin Rapide is gonna get even sexier with the addition of a panoramic glass roof stretching from the top of the windscreen to the top of the rear window.
Power is likely to come from Aston Martin's 6.0 liter V12 engine producing around 500bhp, 0-60mph will be achieved in under 5 seconds and the top speed lies above 180mph. Sources claim we will see the production ready car hit dealerships sometime in 2009, so we should see the Rapide debut later this year with Paris being a likely destination.

exactly what i was thinking when i first looked at these pictures! this car looks absolutely amazing! waaayyy better than porsche's panemera or w.e its called

Perhaps it will grow on me over time but as far as competing against the panamera and quattroporte, it will destroy them based purely on looks.
As per performance, we have yet to see.

Actually I do not think it looks to loooong .. IMHO much better looking than 7-series, Masr Q, Big B (although CLS is still very nice), or P-car 4D (lets hope spy shots are wrong) ... let's get it in the real life ... probably a very nice AM w/ great handling.
AND I had a new Rolls park next to me last night - what a big U_G_L_Y brick - they had style 100 years ago - what the hell happened ???

that's what i meant. thx. the line is nice but i haven't seen any other 4 door coupes have done what MB did for the CLS, which the line is very balanced. maybe the problem is the front door? look how long it look & also the roof panel. Btw, the front door on the CLS is very short & i find it nice actually for tighter parking spaces.
