Obviously, AM has a magnificent racing heritage, but their road cars have never been race cars for the street... like Ferrari and a few others.

Even under the guidance of Prodrive, I don't think they're focusing on numbers and graphs to impress those who judge by statistics alone.
If someone wants to go fast, they'll buy a ZR1. If they want to go fast, and make a "statement", they'll buy the Ferrari in the moment.
- The way I see it, Aston Martin is doing an excellent job of offering the cars the majority of their buyers desire. ...Breathtakingly beautiful cars of quality, with more than adequate performance (across the entire spectrum of which this term is associated).
Definitely agree here. And I'm barely pushing twenty, so I think it's more of a perspective issue rather than an age one . Still, the Vantage is looking just as gorgeous as ever and at least has enough power to put it on par with something like an R8.

A little OT: but do the wheels look strangely similar to those found on the M6? Or is it just me?

Oh, I know. I just thought they looked similar to the M6's as well. And yeah; the Vantage RS appears as though it's going to be awesome.

Any pictures of the updated console floating around, or is the assumption that it is the exact same as the DBS?

Here is the only high res shot of the V8's new console. Looks the same as the DBS and updated DB9 now.

There is no word of this car coming to the states at this point. It's a real monster for sure and it would be great to give enthusiasts the oppurtunity to own a V12 Vantage but at the moment we only have DBS and the 420 (V8 Vantages new name representing 420 hp)

Very nice. Thanks!

I'm curious what this will do to resale of the 380bhp version.

Was iPod/MP3 integration an option before? I know people have a lot of problems with the old system since it was optics based and very proprietary.
