2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400
I originally posted this over at Autopia after I detailed it; thought this forum would enjoy some photos of this gorgeous machine.
This is it. 162 of 240. Only 10 will make it to the US in Karussell Orange.

My client parted ways with his 2007 V8 Vantage for this rare bird. The wow factor of this car is incredible. Not only is the interior the best in the biz, the lines of this car are unreal, the colour is drop-dead, and the exhaust note will surely get you in trouble.
After I quickly surveyed what I was working with, the owner asked if I'd like to take it for a rip before I cleaned 'er up. How could I resist? We hopped in for a 7-mile tour through the back roads of Greenwich, CT. As soon as you hit 4k, an exhaust valve opens up and the car sounds pure muscle. So intoxicating, you find yourself hitting 4k on each upshift and blipping the throttle on the downshifts. Anyway, onto the detail...
The objective here was perfection and protection. The paint is wetsanded from the factory and, in turn, I found a fair amount of pig-tails from the D/A sander. The dealership got a little over zealous with the clearbra so I removed the half hood and half fender portion...no more seams. Other than that, no big issues; just plain enjoyment. My finals were:
- Poorboy's S+W wipe down
- ValuGard New Car Prep to remove clearbra adhesive
- Meguiar's #105 via rotary and LC Purple Foamed Wool @ 1400 on any defects
- Zaino Z-PC/Z-AIO cut 50/50 via PC and LC Red Finishing Pad @ 6
- Zaino Z6 wipedown
- Zaino Z-CS on exhaust, wheels, jams, interior trim
- Zaino Z10 on all leather, door seals
- Zaino Z16 on tires x 2
- Zaino Z2 Pro (ZFX'd) on paint, glass, exterior trim
- Zaino Z8 final wipedown

Although I had always preferred darker colors on AMs, the orange on this N400 is gorgeous! Great job detailing it! What is different between the normal V8 Vantage and this N400 edition besides being a special edition? I'm surprised there is a distinct lack of the usual special edition add-ons in the interior like alcantara and carbon fiber, but it still looks fantastic!
