I'll let the group know how the pedal looks and works when I get and install it.
Belated update - very pleased with the pedal from Ultimate. The fit and finish are great and the 1" extension works well for me - if redoing I would probably stay at 1", or consider wider extension, not narrower. Hole pattern is laid out so mounts with stock mounting screws after unscrewing stock pedal - screws go in 2 holes without rubber pads in photo.

No I agree w/ Obsessed and this looks good too.
The C2 design is also very nice and looks very similar. Attaches the same way too. Helped me a lot, esp. on the track. If you have something like a SIZE 11 WIDE shoe you probably do not need this mod !
The only thing I would change - and it has nothing to do with these pedals - is get the ECU to give a better throttle response when the pedal is pushed ! I have yet to drive a software package that changes this response in the Vantage to anything like the E46 M3 or Cayman S (as examples).
Back to the pedal - I needed something to help with "bliping" the throttle on downshifts - stock pedal spacing was to wide - this new wider gas pedal helped (manual). I'm just a little partial to C2 since I know the guys ... and had them do other stuff to my AM.

obsessed likes 1" and maybe more, you did 1/2 inch wider didn't you Michael?

Perhaps it is a foot thing. I am 11D.

In view of your interest, I went to the garage and measured gap between the brake pedal and the gas pedal with 1" extension in my 2006 Vantage. At the widest part of the brake pedal the gap is 1 3/8", at top and bottom of brake pedal the gap is a bit over 1 1/2". It would be easy enough for you to get a sense of the fit by cutting a piece of something like shirt cardboard and taping or clamping it to the pedal (which is how I chose 1", see below).

I learned to "heel toe" in formula 2000 cars where you don't actually use your heel - you use the left side of the ball of your foot to brake and roll your foot to the right to "blip" the gas for downshifts with the widest portion of the right side of your foot. In those cars, the pedals are separated by about 1/2" and the gas pedal is set lower than brake so when you are hard on the brake the gas is just below your foot to be easy to roll on to.

As I understand it, we can't adjust the height of the gas pedal in our Vantage cars (if we could I would have made extension a fair amount wider), so you need enough clearance to not hit gas when you brake, except intentionally. For me the 1" extension works with track shoes (narrow) or sneakers (size 10D). But, best answer is mock it up with some cardboard or sheet metal attached to the stock pedal to see what you like. Ultimate made the pedal to my specs - match stock pedal (stock curve, brushed finish, 1/16" bevel around edges, square rubber pads) and add 1" on left. I am sure they would adjust extension width to whatever you would like - they didn't have anything listed on web that was what I wanted, so I called and they said they could make it up however I wanted - got it in less than 2 weeks.

They sent me a template that I printed out in actual size and transferred to cardboard, added a lot to the left side, then I put it in the car on gas pedal and cut it down until I was happy with it - the cardboard extension to the left of the stock template shape was close to an inch when I was done, so I rounded to 1". I have tried to attach the template in case you'd like to try that approach - be sure to print full size - set "scaling to none" when you print.

Once you decide on the extension size, I am sure Ultimate, or the shop Michael recommends, could do a nice job for you.

Bob

obsessed - great explanation ... kinda did the same thing then explained it to C2 ... my design was a little lacking and we all had a good laugh ...

Anyway, I went out and measured my new pedal and it is 1 3/4 " wide (old stock one is buried somewhere in my garage).

Thanks Bob and Michael. I like to use the side of my foot as well. I'll let you know how it comes out for me.
