Thanks M3 for clearing that up. That is a big price difference!!! I assume Porsche dealers buy there, slap on a Cerification and make $30k on it... as I have not seen any Certified 2007 997TT under $100k.

It is hard when you think the prices are going to drop and when to buy on the used market. Goes much lower then someone else scoops it up. In the relative sense that is a great price - most folks here paid more for their cars. I did (bought new in 2007) but hey at least I am not losing in the stock market - my point is relevant. They are great cars and a lot of fun to drive. try to nego the price a little lower - then if it meets all the factors you like then buy it. I do not think high end euro cars are an investment over the next couple of years, so if you are only buying to make money, then I think that is a non starter. If you like the car and want to enjoy it - then look at the sticker price - deduct $10k - and that is what you just saved had you bought the car back in 07. Someone also suggested trying some dealers for an 08 - not a bad idea, I am hearing they are starting to move w/ the discounts now available so you might want to set a "buy" price and start calling around - you might be an owner very soon

Sales of luxury cars these days are either depressing, or fabulous, depending on which side of the market you stand. Take a look of 08 M5s, these are prices from a month ago, several K lower by now. We are talking about a car under 1 yr with more than 50% depreciation in some cases...

2008 M5
12/04/08 RIVRSIDE Factory $44,000 25,911 Avg ALPWHITE 10G A Yes
12/10/08 MANHEIM Factory $57,500 5,082 Above BLKSAPPH 10G
Yes
12/10/08 BAY CITI Lease $53,250 7,708 Avg SILVERST 10G
Yes
12/10/08 ATLANTA Lease $49,600 20,361 Avg WHITE 10G A Yes

I was eyeing a 2008 Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster $89,888 with 5500 miles on Autotrader. Grey w\blk. Smokin.

I know someone who bought a 2006 Aston Vantage v8 at Manheim about a month ago for $59,000. Im so glad I waited to buy a car. Now im considering the Vantage as a good choice since i would be keeping the car at least 4 years. That or a 996 TT.

Was it a roadster? For a couple grand more you can pick up an '08 Coupe.
