AMV8(supercharged) and M3

There are no AMV8 4.7's around but Bill has a new E92 M3. It's stats are quite close to the new AMV8 so I thought this might be a good comparison. We gave ourselves a weight penalty just to try to even it out a bit. Bill is 180lb and my videographer + myself are 480lbs. So he gets a 300lb bonus.

Great video! I'm going to go with the Paramount SC kit when it comes out...I'm really looking forward to that. As much as I love this car, it needs that supercharger.

The M3 is also a very good car...nice daily driver. I'm very happy with my E46, and use it as my daily driver many days despite it being 8 years old...it still runs as new. I will probably trade up to the E92, but it will be tough to let this one go.

Congrats on your car. Amazing. I was wondering, after all of the discussion of control, have you experienced any fish-tailing with all of that power? Have you considered new wheels or springs? It would really be interesting to see your car run against a Gallardo or a 997TT.

I love that there are now more power boost options for the AMV8. Makes me miss mine even more. Nice run with the M3. You made a fast car look pedestrian.

By the way, JayMoney, do you have links to pic of your car? I recall reading that you have it on rims, and the color combo looks nice.

Wheels are still stock for now. My mind is set on HRE P40's. Just trying to figure if 19" or 20" is the right call. I too am headed towards a Paramount SC in the summer. My goal is to add looks and style while ensuring better grip an performance after the additional power. I don't have a link right now. My car is ever changing. Right now, I am having OEM GT4 side skirts installed. I have MA Carbon mirrors and tail inserts on the clear lights from the factory. Check out my album for picks. Once I get my car back with the skirts, I will update.

wow, that M3 got walked. great vid, thanks for posting it!

i'm looking at AMV8's and trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger on one (if i don't get an AMV8 i'll be getting an E92 M3). seeing a video like that really makes the decision that much more interesting. i wonder how a supercharged AMV8 will hold up against a supercharged M3? i'm sure Active Autowerks is developing one, and Dinan's got a 520-hp stroker kit in the works, too...

Only 1 gallardo and a couple of 997tt's around here and I haven't met the owners, so it is not likely. I'll tangle with some more 996tt's though.

I had 20s on mine (or were they 21s?) and loved them. Some purists thought they were too large. With the P40, 20s would look great.

Silicon Valley Auto Group. Ask for Brett Foster in parts. Tell him Jason form Philadelphia referred you. They are expensive and need a bit of finish before painting. However, they look awesome and are OEM. I will post pics by May.
