That looks like an egg that a DBS would lay.
With fuel standards coming and cap and trade passing, we better get used to alternative concepts for our exclusive brands. AM needs a mass producing partner with fuels savers already in the line up.

Well, I personally like the idea of a small, efficient vehice build to Aston Martin standards of materials and assembly, and if they make it, I'll buy it. I remarked to my wife about a month after buying the Vantage that I wished I could find a sedan built as well built as the Aston and she remarked "It's called a Rolls Royce." But the size of even the new "small" Rolls is all wrong (bigger than an S class) -- I really would love something about the size of my small Lincoln, on maybe one size down, for city driving and errands, etc.
Beyond that fact that we all need to use less energy, etc., as an engineer I simply respect efficiency and dis-like inefficiency: so I find the engineering behind a 50 mpg, 120 mph hybrid just as interesting as that of a 200 mph exotic that gets only 9 mpg. But the fact is, the first of those two opposite ends of the automotive spectrum matches my daily needs a lot more than the second.

Yeah, I know. But I hope someone does start building really high-quality small cars - and by small I don't mean Rolls Royce small. I mean small like an Audi A3 or a Honda Fit, but built to Aston Martin standards of material and craftsmanship, a hybrid with maybe 300 foot lbs of torque (say 140 from gas and 180 from electric) would be a nice city car.

My nearly one year old son. He's a lot more expensive than he looks. He's also eating into my AM Vantage savings account.
