Shifter ****

I like everything (I think) in the interior of my vantage BUT the shifter **** (a volvo?). The one in DB9/S would fit, right? other alternatives?

Michael 996TT is infamous around these parts
I know MOMO makes a wide range of shifter ***** (metal, wood, CF, leather) but I have not taken the Vantage **** apart to see if it is a round shaft the **** bolts/screws too or if a different shape ... I had a '93 P-car that actually had a rectangle shape but I was still able to fit a MOMO **** (they base theirs on round shaft) .... another thought is there is a thread showing the re-cover of AM steering wheels ... bet they could make a new leather "gator" that goes below the current AM **** and then choose whatever new **** you want ... I did this on early P-cars too ... actually looked very good when set was completed.

YES : ) That was the point of the post... that it's insane! I called my local Aston dealer and fell on the floor when they told me the cost. Seems like I'm not alone here...

Could be worse. I understand that the indicator stalk (turn signal lever) on the Veyron goes for over $6k! Seems like the price of everything goes up the higher-end the car is.

But that's handcrafted out of Titanium, a shift **** for $1100 . . yeah don't think so!

So you consider $6k for the lever reasonable? I agree that a grand is ridiculous for a shift ****, but then again, $6k is also ridiculous, in my mind, for a turn signal lever, titanium or not!

BTW, I also read that the Veyron tires go for around $25,000 a set, and you would burn through them in something like 15 minutes at top speed, if you didn't run out of gas first. Amazing.

Agreed!!

But must admit, I do love my titanium - just spend $800 for my campy titanium rear cassette on my bicycle.
