Oil consumption in V8 Vantage

Anybody notice any oil consumption? I have under 8k miles on my car and I have to add 1/3 to 2/3 quart every 2500-2800 miles. I follow the AM book schedule; once a year or 10,000 miles whichever comes first for service. I have been told that some oil consumption is normal in exotics.

No issues w/ me either ... I do remember an issue ... had a spot on my garage floor first couple of months I owned the car ... dealer said there was an issue on a few cars and fixed for free ... might want to check to see if you are leaking and if your car was part of a fix .. or not.

06 mine burns here and there. If you don't see any oil where you park it I wouldn't worry too much. By the way you can get the oil cheaper at BMW dealers. 10w-60 that is.

You can actually get it online For about $9-10 a quart. Some BMW dealers raised it to $12-14 a quart.

In general, zero consumption on mine except on an extended long distance roadtrip with some sustained high speeds. Had to add about half a quart over 3k miles in that instance.

Aston Martin Vantage Oil Consumption

Just bought an 09 Vantage and drove from L.A. to Phoenix. Not exactly sure where the oil level was to start but the car had 600 miles on last oil change before I drove it 400 miles home. Checked oil a week later and was down 2/3 qt. No leaks. I will make certain the dip stick is at max and then carefully track oil consumption. Any advice?

These cars will burn oil, especially if you drive aggressively. Always a good idea to regularly check levels and top off as needed.
