Alarm System Codes

My car recently started throwing codes for the alarm system. This is after starting it after a significant layoff of about a month or two. Since the car has been sitting idle, I don't see how or why it should be throwing codes - anyone with experience with this?

Mine is throwing one too "Alarm System Needs Service" - I pushed the "read" button and it goes away. Kinda hoping the SW fairy takes care of it one night. Seems everything is working - just the code goes on at start.

I had this on my MY07 quite a few times and they ended up replacing the Alarm module.

Be curious to see the solution outside of the warranty period. Good Luck!

Mine did that too. The dealer traced it to a sensor in a rear wheel well that got wet. He replaced it an not problems since.

I recently experienced a similar alarm warning; unfortunately, the car would not lock/unlock with the remote-had to use the key! Dealer traced the defect to the "sounder", i.e. siren module. Replaced under warranty and fine since...

That is what my dealer suspects. Can't get it over to dealer until August though.

Mine just started spitting this error also. Looks to be spreading rapidly.

I can still push the "read" button and code goes away ... not a solution but works til I get to the dealer.

Not so easy to get to the dealer and now out of warranty. What a PITA.

Even thought out of warranty, they may fix. I think there was a service bulletin.

I called my dealer, no service bulletin. He said they were getting many of service requests for the code.

If it is out of warranty, I would still push them to fix. From what I understand, it is a very simple fix.

Unfortunately, my original dealer is no longer an Aston dealer, so they don't have an incentive to do me any favors.
