Aston Martin announces plans to sell V12 Vantage in the U.S.

Aston Martin has finally put a U.S.-approved sticker onto the V12 Vantage, and if you're aching to get into the 510 horsepower coupe, you'll need to set aside $179,995 for the "base" model.
Included in the kit is the DB9-sourced V12 powerplant putting out the aforementioned 510 ponies and 420 pound-feet of torque, capable of scooting the svelte coupe to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 mph.
If the standard V12 Vantage is just too plebeian for your tastes, you can option up for the Carbon Black Edition - an exclusive trim for the States - which includes black metallic paint, carbon fiber accents, a reworked grille, 10-spoke black wheels and a host of interior appointments.
Pricing for the Carbon Black model comes in at a cool $194,995 (undercutting both the DB9 and DBS), and both prices include the $3,000 gas guzzler tax and $1,350 destination charge. If that's too rich for your blood, just enjoy the high-res pics in the gallery below.

Wheels are still the same size - 19"
I like the "lines" of the hood. I wish they would have been more subtle on the venting or at least offer a different color variation for lighter colored cars. It just isn't very attractive with those big black vents on top of what otherwise is a gorgeous hood. The lower grill treatment and splitter looks really nice.
The multiple big black vents are what I am opposed to, but then I don't care for the new skirts either.

I am agreement about the hood. Just something that looks cheap about it. Maybe it is better in person.
Now, what I am really upset about is that I am going to have to buy one in a couple years. There is no way I could not have this car!

The hood vents, carbon fibre, look a lot better in body color, especilly in the lighter colors. The Brits recognized the improvement over a year ago. On purchase negotiate body color paint as part of the deal. You will have $200G of leverage.
I've seen the V12 hood and side skirts in person and they look great! If you get a chance to go to Los Gatos Luxury Cars, they're fixing up a 2010 V8V with everything you can think of!
Cheap-looking hood vents. At least do some kind of gorgeous metal or CF in a car that starts at 180K. AutoWeek drove it at the 'ring and vicinity and felt it's Aston's best car yet...
