Unhappy We Lost One.. RIP

How on earth would someone risk a car like the DB6?? I would push a Bugatti Veyron to it's limits, and if it gets totalled, my insurance will get me a new one, but what would your insurance do when you have limited numbers of DB6s in the world?? how can this person sleep at night after ruining this magnificent machine?? No more talk.. just watch the video.. it's not for the faint of heart, no graphic scenes, unless you consider seeing a DB6 totalled is horrific..

Very sad. I wonder how the accident happened given the damage to the two cars. Also interesting how poorly the Aston fared compared to the Audi.

The Audi is a tank, The DB6 is a museum piece. I have a car like this in my family. It does get driven and goes to a lot of events. It doesn't go on to large highways to duel 3 ton sedans. It's possible that the Audi ran a light and the AM was just in the way but still.

Yes, my comment was really about how much better new cars are in accidents. And I'm sure your conclusion as to who was at fault in the accident is not the result of any bias.

What's your point? That you shouldn't drive the car...ever? How do you conclude that "this person...ruined this magnificent machine"? Did you see how the accident happened? C'mon, it is a DB6, not some truly rare vehicle worth multi millions.

It was really stretching the bounds of plausibility. I just wanted to hope that all of that front damage wasn't because the AM driver was being reckless. It's just really hard to acknowledge that one of these cars are gone because of poor judgment.

Yep, I hear ya. You would think the driver would be extra careful.

And yes, XJRS, it's not the most rare or expensive vehicle in the world, but then again, it's not a Honda Civic. I think a little mourning is justified.

Hybrid AWD is infamous around these parts
It's definitely a sad sight to see, but it's almost a sad sight to see a car that goes untouched and not driven sitting in a museum. It sucks to see the car ruined and most likely a total loss, but you have to appreciate that it was being driven.

taking things at face value, and according to the people that uploaded the video, the AM is at fault.. but then again, we need to read the police report to know the honest truth..

I am definitely with driving such cars, to me cars in museum are waste of a nice car..

but I think totaling a new multi million dollar car can be replaced with another new multi million dollar car, but totalling this car means one less DB6 in the world, and I also think mourning is justified..

Cars have different meaning and value to different people. There have been around 10,000 Aston Martin's in history. This car was built in extemely limited numbers. It may not be a million dollar collector piece but for some it may hold greater value than a gull wing MB or a Porsche 959. I love the idea of owning something like this someday because I like Astons. Now there will be one less to choose from.

I dont know about that. Seems the same - the second video really shows the amount of damage the Audi has as well. Seems equal to me.
