DB9 for $65k?
True, very similar in many regards. I just don't love the db9 wheels or wood inside any car, but that is of course personal preference and the wheels are an easy fix anyway. For that matter, the 06 to 08 vantage wheels are not superb either. I like both 09 an 10 model's stock wheels better though.
Regardless of all this, both are very beautiful cars.
I am only being so particular because on any car over 50k, it should be exactly what you want!

What I don't care for as much on the DB9 is the earlier style rims/interior like this car has http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/ast...n&distance=any: Its still a very beautiful car, just not near as great as the options you've got. Then again, its 3 years older than yours and significantly cheaper too. I just remember seeing a 05 DB9 parked last summer with these rims and wood interior when I was jogging by it and did not think "wow", which is what you should think when you see an Aston
.I also don't like these rims: http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/ast...n&distance=any .
O ya, those rims and interior are fantastic and probably exactly how I'd spec an Aston if I got it. You've got a newer DB9; perhaps I just haven't seen the newer models options. I LOVE the piano black finish interior, and those are the rims, in addition to the 2010 ones here https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-ive-seen.html , that I like a lot.

See I like the wood, because it's a nice contrast to my other sports cars that I've owned in the last 15 years. I've avoided the luxury segment, because I enjoy going fast (let's face it, Aston Martins don't rip your face off during accelerating, braking, or cornering).
My wife has really changed my opinion of this color combo (the burgundy ext, biege int, with wood trim). I'm starting to appreciate the perspective of being inside a completely different car.

if im not mistaken, the 05s have green backlighting on the instrument panels and buttons.. definitely date the car quite a bit in my opinion
The color combo is not bad, a bit on the classic side for me but it's nice. Not sure I'd pay $60k for that... maybe $49k tops. 37k is quite a lot of miles for a car like this (according to the market, im sure the car's fine)

How funny that I stumbled upon this thread.
I was looking online today and I was surprised to see that the DB9's were going for about 100k for a somewhat low-mileage 2009.
I think it's a better value than the Vantages I've been looking at. Sure the N420 is cool and the V12 Vantage are great, but they command such a premium over this car which is also a V12.
How is the maintenance and reliability? I'm primarily thinking of getting one as a daily driver to put about 15-16k miles a year on it.

AM of Newport Beach has an 06 Meteorite coupe for $79k and Star Motor Cars in Houston has an 06 tungsten silver for $80k. im assuming those come with the 12 month warranty - nice for the piece of mind
these used db9s are really close to the v8v in price.. really tempting
I stand corrected on the 05 DB9's green backlighting - it just looked that way in this picture (http://4.photos2.ebizautos.com/1769/...6217062_28.jpg). Perhaps it's just the radio/air con display
it also looks like the maroon one is sold!
